KHL Game Day Preview | September 8, 2022

Igor Larionov’s Torpedo seeking second straight win : News : Kontinental Hockey League (KHL)

The KHL Thursday starts in the East, with Metallurg facing Amur for the first time in the season – Magnitka showed some good hockey, and some disappointing one, thus Ilya Vorobyov is likely to expect a win in this favorable matchup.

Later, Ak Bars faces the other Far East team – Admiral – after a convincing win in Moscow over CSKA. Oleg Znarok’s squad will want to keep the ball rolling, so expect Kazan pushing the gas from the starting faceoff.

However, what perhaps may be the most exciting game of the night is Torpedo welcoming Avtomobilist. Both teams are playing good hockey in this start of the season, and Igor Larionov’s kids may use their energy to get the best of a more experienced lineup. The Motormen also had a good start, and are yet to lose in regulation.
