The NHL announced the 2024 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series will take place Feb. 17-18 at MetLife Stadium, the home of the NFL’s New York Jets and New York Football Giants.
The event will feature four teams – the Flyers, Devils, Rangers, and Islanders – in two regular-season outdoor games. On Saturday, Feb. 17, the Devils will play host to the Flyers, and on Sunday, Feb. 18, the Rangers will face off against the Islanders.
Also unveiled before Game 1 were logos for three more events on the 2023-24 NHL calendar: the 2023 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic, 2024 Discover NHL Winter Classic and 2024 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend. The official logo for Stadium Series will be unveiled when it is available.

LAS VEGAS —Zach Whitecloud broke a tie at 6:59 of the third period, helping the Vegas Golden Knights to a 5-2 win against the Florida Panthers in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday.
Shea Theodore had a goal and an assist, Jonathan Marchessault scored for the fifth time in six games, and Adin Hill made 33 saves for the Golden Knights, the top seed in the Western Conference. Jack Eichel had two assists, and Vegas improved to 8-3 when allowing the first goal in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Eric Staal and Anthony Duclair scored, and Sergei Bobrovsky made 29 saves for the Panthers, the second wild card into the playoffs from the Eastern Conference. Florida lost for the first time in the playoffs when scoring first (8-1).
Teams that win Game 1 of the best-of-7 Cup Final have gone on to win the series 75.9 percent of the time (63-20), including 83.3 percent when winning Game 1 at home (50-10). Game 2 is here Monday (8 p.m. ET; TNT, TBS, truTV, CBC, SN, TVAS).
Whitecloud gave Vegas a 3-2 lead when his shot from the point through traffic beat Bobrovsky under his glove and above his left pad.
Mark Stone extended the lead to 4-2 with an unassisted goal at 13:41.
Stone knocked the puck out of the air and beat Bobrovsky with a shot to the glove side. Florida challenged for a missed stoppage in play for high-sticking on Stone, but the goal was upheld after official review.
Reilly Smith scored an empty-net power-play goal from the red line at 18:15 for the 5-2 final. Hill had denied Sam Reinhart on a breakaway 22 seconds earlier.
Duclair had tied it 2-2 with 11 seconds left in the second period with a shot off Aleksander Barkov‘s face-off win in the right circle.
Staal gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead at 9:40 of the first period with a short-handed wraparound goal.
Marchessault tied it 1-1 at 17:18 with a power-play goal on a one-timer from the slot.
Hill kept it tied by reaching back for a highlight-reel stick save on Nick Cousins 50 seconds into the second.
Theodore gave Vegas a 2-1 lead at 10:54 of the second with his first goal of the playoffs on a wrist shot from above the hash marks.
