Vancouver (9-11-2=20 pts) played the first game of a three game homestand tonight at Rogers Arena against Western conference rivals, Minnesota Wild (11-7-3=25 pts).
Eleven different Canucks figured in the scoring, four players with two point games, and Vancouver defeated the Minnesota Wild 5-4, for their 4th win in their last 6 games.
Brandon Sutter (1-1), Ben Hutton (1-1), Troy Stecher (0-2) and Henrik Sedin (0-2), had two points each, to lead the Canucks.
Loui Eriksson, with his 6th; Bo Horvat, with his 8th; and Sven Baertschi, with his 3rd of the season, all contributed goals in the Vancouver win, the 3rd time this season the Canucks have scored 5 goals in an winning effort.
Michael Chaput (2nd), Daniel Sedin (8th), Luca Sbisa (5th), and Alex Burrows (5th), all chipped in with an assist each, in the winning effort.
Canucks goalie Ryan Miller stopped 38 of 42 shots in the game, and after tonight, is 4-8-0 with a 2.78 GAA and a .909 save percentage.
Vancouver is now 7-4-1 at home.
Canucks, moved into 5th place in the Pacific division, tied with Calgary, each with 22 points; 4 points behind the 2nd and 3rd place Oilers and Ducks; and 3 points in front of Arizona.
Game Summary
The Canucks were looking to get off to a good start in the opening period by scoring the first goal of the game for the 7th time this season. In the previous six, the Canucks record was a winning one, with points in four (3-2-1).
Jason Pominville (4), would end the Canucks consecutive streak of scoring the opening goal at four games, as he would make it 1-0 Wild; assisted by Nino Niederreiter (7) and Marco Scandella (2), at 5:07.
Canucks captain, Henrik Sedin would even up the game at 1-1 with his 6th goal of the season, at 14:42, assisted by Ben Hutton (4) and Brandon Sutter (7). The goal was challenged by the Wild for goaltender interference. The goal was disallowed for goalie interference.
The score remained 1-0 Minnesota.
In the second, Jason Pominville (5), scored his second of the game, to increase the Wild to 2-0 over Vancouver, at 3:34, assisted by Erik Haula (3) and Jason Zucker (9).
Brandon Sutter, at 9:23, on the power play, with his 6th goal of the season, pulled within a goal of the Wild at 2-1, assisted by Troy Stecher (3) and Henrik Sedin (8).
The Canucks got a second power play soon after their goal, and would score again, Ben Hutton, at 11:22, his 3rd goal of the season, assisted by Daniel Sedin (8) and Henrik Sedin (9), to even the score at 2-2.

In the third, Vancouver wasted little time getting the go ahead goal, as Loui Eriksson scored his 6th goal, 5th in the last 10 games, at 1:09. Assists to Michael Chaput (2) and Ben Hutton (4).

The Canucks would take a two goal lead at 4-2, 58 seconds later, on a goal by Bo Horvat, his 8th of the season, at 2:08, assisted by Luca Sbisa (5) and Brandon Sutter (7).

The Wild would pull within a goal, at 4-3, when Jason Zucker (3) scored at 3:20, unassisted.
The game would be tied at 4-4, when the Wild’s Ryan Suter (5), at 14:11, would score, assisted by Jared Spurgeon (5) and Nino Niederreiter (8).
Sven Baertschi, scored his 4th of the season, putting the Canucks up 5-4, at 17:25, assisted by Troy Stecher (4) and Alex Burrows (5). It was the winner.
