Chris Tanev, Derek Dorsett, and Alex Burrows are that much closer to seeing game action after being out of the lineup with injuries.

The three of them have missed a total of 11 man-games (Burrows and Dorsett 4 games each; Tanev 3 games).

At morning practice today in Montreal, Canuck coach Willie Desjardins was noncommittal as to which of the three would see action against the Canadiens:

As for Tanev, he is optimistic but careful not to jump to conclusions before being sure:

Dorsett, who’s feeling better, is similar to Tanev, and is pressing to play against Montreal but wants to be sure he’s ready:

Meanwhile, captain Henrik Sedin isn’t downplaying the importance of tomorrow night’s contest against the top team in the league, stressing the need for a “full team effort to get past them”:

As for the power play unit, Dave Tomlinson, colour commentator for the Vancouver Canucks on TSN1040 Vancouver, tweeted out this morning, that the Canucks had Alex Edler and Philip Larsen as point men, with the Sedin twins and Brandon Sutter, on the power play unit.
