Canucks 2023-24 Regular Season Begins at Rogers Arena, Ends At Canada Life Centre

The Vancouver Canucks 2023-24 regular season starts at Rogers Arena on Wednesday, October 11 against the Edmonton Oilers:

  • This marks the first time since 2018-19 that the Canucks will open their regular season schedule at home and the 5th consecutive season that they will face the Oilers in their season opener.
  • After the home opener, the Canucks will complete the second half of a home-and-home series with the Oilers in Edmonton on October 14, as they embark on a five-game road trip.

Vancouver’s 2023-24 regular season will end on Thursday, April 18, with a one-game road trip to face the Winnipeg Jets at Canada Life Centre.

  • The Canucks Home Opener, as they host reigning Art Ross and Hart Trophy winner Connor McDavid and the division rival Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday, October 11.
  • The Toronto Maple Leafs play in Vancouver for a spirited game against the Canucks on Saturday, January 20.
  • Chicago Blackhawks will visit Vancouver for the only time this season with Connor Bedard on Monday, January 22.
  • 2022-23 Presidents’ Trophy winners, the Boston Bruins, start off a 3-game homestand when they visit on Saturday, February 24.
  • Perennial Stanley Cup Champion Montreal Canadiens grace Rogers Arena on Thursday, March 21.
  • The Canucks take on division rivals the Calgary Flames for their final home game of the regular season on Tuesday, April 16.

Highlights

  • March 2024: Vancouver has a 9-game homestand from Saturday, March 9, until Sunday, March 31.
    • The 9-game homestand will be tied for Vancouver’s second-longest of its kind in franchise history (1974-75), trailing only a 10-game homestand held in 1981-82.
  • Back-to-Back Sets: The Canucks will play 9 sets of back-to-backs this season, including 3 sets in the month of November, 2 in February, and 1 each in October, December, January, and April.
  • Saturdays: For the Canucks this season, more than a quarter of their regular season schedule will take place on this day:
    • There will be 23 Saturday games this season, with 12 of those being hosted at Rogers Arena. In contrast, only two Canucks games will be played on Fridays, one each at home and on the road.
  • Honda All-Star Weekend: The 2024 Honda NHL® All-Star Weekend will be held at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, from February 2-3, 2024.
