Toronto Maple Leafs as a playoff contender this season will have unbelievable pressure to make this the season to be the first to break their Stanley Cup drought.
As for the Canucks—-Jim Rutherford, Patrik Allvin and the rest of management and the coaching and development staff—- have the next few years to just get Vancouver to be competitive enough to make the playoffs consistently over a few years, to be able to challenge for the Cup, and have that solid chance at competeting for it as in 2011.
Until then the relentless Canucks fans will let Vancouver know daily how they feel, and there will be extraordinary pressure for Vancouver to break their Stanley Cup drought sooner than later.
