The Vancouver Canucks’ (14-8-4, P%-.615, t-3rd Pacific Division) started their week continuing with a 6-game road trip, their 6th and final game against the Minnesota Wild on December 3rd.

Vancouver then came home and began a 6-game homestand against the Columbus Blue Jackets on December 6th, followed up with a week ending game against the Tampa Bay Lightning on December 8th.

Games of The Week

December 3rd at Minnesota Wild (4-2 OT Loss):
- Kirill Kaprizov scored with 24 seconds left in overtime to give the Minnesota Wild their fourth straight win, 3-2.
- After Canucks forward Brock Boeser hit the right post on the rush with 33 seconds left, Marco Rossi fed Kaprizov on a 2-on-1 for a one-timer from the right face-off circle.
- Elias Pettersson had two assists, and Quinn Hughes and Jake DeBrusk scored for Canucks.
- Goalie Kevin Lankinen made 26 saves in his first road loss of the season (10-0-1).
December 6th vs Columbus Blue Jackets (5-2 Win):
- Pius Suter scored twice in the third period, and Brock Boeser had a goal and an assist.
- Quinn Hughes had two assists and Kevin Lankinen made 30 saves for the Canucks, who scored five unanswered for the victory.
- Kiefer Sherwood and Jake DeBrusk had a goal each.
December 8th vs Tampa Bay Lightning (4- 2 Loss):
- The Lightning scored two goals on the power play, including the winner, to defeat the Canucks 4-2.
- Canucks had goals from Quinn Hughes and Kiefer Sherwood
- Starting goalie Kevin Lankinen had 28 saves and a .903 SV%.

Overall

Competitive, relentless, and assertive “team” effort (synergy and cohesion) as the Canucks continue to affect their team identity.

The Vancouver Canucks’ (13-7-3, P%-.630, t-3rd Pacific Division) started their week continuing with a 6-game road trip beginning with games against the Boston Bruins on November 26th, Pittsburgh Penguins on November 27th, Buffalo Sabres on November 29th, and Detroit Red Wings on December 1st. .

Games of The Week

November 26th at Boston Bruins (2-0 Win):
- Jake DeBrusk scores winning goal against former team: It was DeBrusk’s first game in Boston since signing with the Canucks as a free agent in the offseason.
- Canucks shut out Bruins: Vancouver goalie Kevin Lankinen earned the shutout, stopping all 33 shots he faced for his 8th consecutive road win, and 2nd shutout of the season.
- Strong defensive performance: The Canucks played a strong defensive game, limiting the Bruins’ scoring opportunities. Vancouver blocked 26 shots to Boston’s 11.
November 27th at Pittsburgh Penguins (5-4 Loss):
- Vancouver strikes early: The Canucks tied the game at 1-1 after the Penguins opened the scoring in the first period, but the Penguins stormed back with four unanswered goals to take a 5-1 lead.
- Rust and Karlsson lead the way: Penguins forward Bryan Rust scored two goals and added an assist, while defenseman Erik Karlsson had three assists.
- Canucks mount late comeback: The Canucks scored three consecutive goals in the final two periods to make it a close game, but they couldn’t complete the comeback.
November 29th at Buffalo Sabres (4-3 OT Win):
- Garland scores the game-winner: Conor Garland scored the game-winning goal with 1:01 left in overtime, giving the Canucks their third win in 4 games on their 6-game road trip.
- Canucks overcome early deficit: The Canucks trailed 1-0 after the first period but battled back to secore three consecutive goals going into the last seven minutes of the game.
- Sabres force overtime: Dylan Cozens and Alex Tuch scored in 109 seconds, and both teams were unable to decide the winner in regulation.
- Strong penalty kill: The Canucks penalty kill unit was perfect, killing off all five Sabres power plays.
December 1st at Detroit RedWings (5-4 OT Win):
- Kevin Lankinen became the first goalie in NHL history to win the first 10 road appearances to start a season.
- Jake DeBrusk had his second career hat trick, including the game-winner in overtime, and chipped in with an assist on the goal to send the game into overtime.
- Quinn Hughes had three assists and became the Canucks’ all-time assists leader among defensemen (313) overtaking former Canuck Alex Edler.
- Elias Pettersson had 3 primary assists; Brock Boeser, one helper.
