The Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 in a shootout at Rogers Arena on Friday, October 11, 2024.
The Canucks opened the scoring with a goal from Nils Höglander set up by Conor Garland. The Flyers tied it up at 1-1 with a goal from Tyson Foerster on the power play with helpers from Bobby Brink and Joel Farabee.
Teddy Blueger put the Canucks back in front 2-1 with a goal set up by Pius Suter and Derek Forbort in the second period.
Cam York tied the game for the Flyers at 2-2 with a goal in the third period, assists Ryan Poehling and Garnet Hathaway, and that is the way the game would end in regulation.
After a scoreless overtime period, the game went to a shootout. Morgan Frost scored the decisive goal for the Flyers in the 5th round.
