BCHL produces document to modernize Canadian junior hockey system

The BC Hockey League’s Executive Committee and League Office have produced a document outlining various ways to improve junior hockey in our country, entitled: Modernizing Junior Hockey in Canada.

It has been sent to Hockey Canada, BC Hockey and the Governance Review Committee overseeing the examination of Hockey Canada’s structure and leadership. The document addresses the following sections of the committee’s Terms of Reference:

Section 4: Is the Senior Management Team properly structured and constituted to oversee the operations of Hockey Canada, from the grassroots level to the high-performance level?

Section 5: In the area of governance, are there any other recommendations for actions that the Board of Directors and senior management could take to improve the confidence Canadians have in Hockey Canada?

Staff, Players in the KHL Summoned To Russian Army, Says Employee Of KHL Kunlun Red Star

Anton Tishkin, an employee of KHL-club Kunlun Red Star, shared this on his LinkedIn profile, according to Twitter account of Karl Mansson @karl_khl

“He’s calling out the lies of the Russian government, saying that staff and players in the KHL were summoned to the army.”, Mansson says.

“He’s looking to leave Russia, as he refuses to join the military.” Mansson adds.
