To a person, the Canucks have to play better and sooner than later, if the organization does not want reruns of the movie Ground Hog Day to get prominent billing.
A season opening Canucks road trip that began with such promise is at an unnervingly familiar crossroads as the club arrives in the sunshine state for a pair of tough road games.
But what matters isn’t what happened on Tuesday. It’s what comes next.

The Canucks were so happy to get away from home, and let their hair down, they forget the trip was work related, except for goalie Thatcher Demko who showed up with his work gear, lunch kit, and played lights out to give his teammates a chance. A chance squandered.
