MOSCOW, 19 August. /corr. TASS Rustam Sharafutdinov/. The three-time winner of the Gagarin Cup CSKA must send to the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) the motivational part of its appeal against the suspension of goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov from international and national tournaments, as well as the club’s ban on international transfers, within the next 14 days. This was reported to TASS by a source.

On Friday, the press service of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation told TASS that it had submitted an appeal from CSKA to the IIHF Disciplinary Committee for consideration. The head of the international federation, Luc Tardif, confirmed receipt of the appeal.

“A notice of appeal was sent to the IIHF. CSKA has 14 days to send its motivational part,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

The IIHF suspended Fedotov from matches until the end of 2023 due to the fact that the player signed a contract with CSKA Moscow, although the validity of his agreement with the National Hockey League club Philadelphia, concluded a year ago, was postponed to the 2023-24 season.
