2022.23

Quinn Hughes (5+52=57 in 56 GP) became the fastest defenseman in Canucks franchise history to reach 50 assists in a season, eclipsing the previous mark set by Paul Reinhart (63 GP in 1988-89).

In recording his 50th assist of the season, Hughes became the first defenseman in Canucks history to reach the mark in consecutive campaigns. Only two players in franchise history have posted a longer run: Henrik Sedin (7 from 2005-06–2011-12) and Daniel Sedin (3 from 2008-09–2010-11).

Hughes (0+3=3) against Dallas, recorded his 16th multi-point game of 2022-23 and tied Doug Lidster (16 in 1986-87) and Paul Reinhart (16 in 1988-89) for the most by a Canucks defenseman in a single season.

Hughes also in his 3-point game surpassed Al Iafrate (50) for the fourth most multi-point games by a U.S.-born defenseman before the age of 24. The only others with more: Phil Housley (103), Brian Leetch (78) and Gary Suter (54).
