Vancouver Canuck Elias Pettersson is tied for 7th place in the NHL after the completion of Sunday games on February 19th.
He has 27 goals and 44 assists and is a plus+5 in 54 games played this season.
The 2023 NHL All-Star forward factored in five of his team’s six goals (2+3=5) on the weekend as the Canucks defeated the Flyers at Rogers Arena on Saturday, February 18th by the score of 6-2.
It marked Pettersson’s fifth career five-point game, surpassing Daniel Alfredsson, Thomas Steen and Ulf Nilsson (all w/ 4) and tying Nicklas Backstrom for the third most in NHL history by a Swedish-born player – Peter Forsberg and Kent Nilsson (both w/ 9) pace the list. (Source: nhl.com)
