Canucks’ Pettersson Tied For 7th Spot In NHL Scoring

Vancouver Canuck Elias Pettersson is tied for 7th place in the NHL after the completion of Sunday games on February 19th.

He has 27 goals and 44 assists and is a plus+5 in 54 games played this season.

The 2023 NHL All-Star forward factored in five of his team’s six goals (2+3=5) on the weekend as the Canucks defeated the Flyers at Rogers Arena on Saturday, February 18th by the score of 6-2.

It marked Pettersson’s fifth career five-point game, surpassing Daniel AlfredssonThomas Steen and Ulf Nilsson (all w/ 4) and tying Nicklas Backstrom for the third most in NHL history by a Swedish-born player – Peter Forsberg and Kent Nilsson (both w/ 9) pace the list. (Source: nhl.com)
