The Calgary Flames and the Vancouver Canucks square off inside Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia tonight.

  • They are coming off a 5-2 home victory over the Seattle Kraken. The biggest positive was their ability to shoot 46 times against Seattle in this game here.
  • Leading their scoring output in the game was center Tyler Motte, who scored a goal and an assist in the game and was one of four players that finished to score multiple points.
  • The defense needs to step up more consistently as they are allowing 2.79 goals on 31.5 shots so they need to continue applying pressure if they want to win.
  • The major difference between these teams is the penalty kill percentage as the Flames are killing 85.6 percent of the penalties while the Canucks are killing 69.9 percent of their penalties.
  • These defenses have been on two completely different levels as Calgary is averaging 1.6 goals against in their previous five games while Vancouver is allowing 4.2 goals in that same stretch.
  • The Flames have won four of the last five meetings against the Canucks so go with the Calgary Flames to win here.
