The Salzberg Eagles withstood a barrage of shots, and an intense Budapest Jegkorong team, to come out on the fortunate end of a 1-0 shootout victory today at the Eisarena Salzburg, in Salzburg, Austria.

The EWHL regular season game was the first of the 2021-2022 season for both clubs, and was competitive and close from the first puck drop of the game.

Shots on goal in the contest favored Budapest Jegkorong Akademia 55-38 (17-12, 22-10, 11-10, 5-5).

Salzberg goaltender Carmen Lasis turned aside all 55 shots she face in regulation and overtime, for her shutout. Budapest Jegkorong goalie Bianka Bogati was just as stingy stopping all 38 shots she faced in regulation and overtime.
