(HCB press release) – After the Champions Hockey League match, and awaiting their return to Finland on Wednesday 24 November, HCB Alto Adige Alperia is preparing to return to the ice of the ICE Hockey League.

On Friday 19 November, at 7.45 pm, the Foxes will see it in an already sold-out Intercable Arena in the HC Val Pusteria den.

It will be the second South Tyrolean derby after the historic “first time” in the ICE Hockey League on October 26: at that juncture it was the red and white who won 2 to 1, thanks to Di Perna’s goal in the third half, at the end of a match fought until the final siren. For Bolzano it was the first of four consecutive victories, for the Wolves instead the seventh KO in a row, which later became 10.

The gialloneri in the meantime have changed a lot, including the coach: the Finnish Raimo Helminen has arrived in place of Luciano Basile. Val Pusteria put up to the ten-game losing streak on Tuesday evening, winning at home 3 to 2 against Graz, and is still trying to get out of the bottom spot.

Leading the scorers’ ranking in the Giallonera home is Johan Harju, who reached 16 points (5 + 11) in 17 games played. In goal Thomas Sholl saves with 91.7%.

The match will be broadcast in live pay-per-view streaming on the website https://live.ice.hockey.

On Sunday 21 November, at 18:00, the Foxes will return to Palaonda for the match against Steinbach Black Wings Linz. The two teams will clash for the second time this season: last October 1st, at Linz AG Eisarena, Angelo Miceli with his overtime goal had closed the dispute at 4 to 3.

Linz, currently in penultimate place in the standings, he is recovering and has just returned from two consecutive victories, the last of which on Tuesday at the home of Fehervar second in the class.

The presale for the match is already active online and will also be held at the Palaonda on Friday from 16:00 to 19:00 (in the office) and Sunday from 11:00 to 13:00 (at the cash desks).

Casa Bolzano
Bernard and his team mates are back from five victories in their last six league games. Before the break, an internal success on penalties against Villach arrived: the Foxes want to consolidate their fourth place in the standings and run after the leading trio made up of Olimpija, Fehervar and Innsbruck.

At the roster level there will be no news with respect to CHL’s match against Lukko, except for the return of Dan Catenacci (disqualified in the international competition). Marco Insam still in the pits due to injury.

The withdrawal of Bratislava and the new classification of the ICE Hockey League

The board of the ICE Hockey League has accepted the request to withdraw the iClinic Bratislava Capitals, after the tragic events that led to the death of the player Boris Sadecy and of GM Dusan Pasek.

The league, to take into account the games played and to create greater safety in the event of further matches to be canceled due to Covid, has decided to create from here on a ranking that will take into account first and foremost the average points.

The placements, therefore, will be adjusted on the basis of the coefficient deriving from the division between points made and games played (rounded to three digits after the comma). To access the playoffs or pre-playoffs, it will be necessary to have played at least 80% of the playable games.

The assignment of points does not change: 3 for those who win in regular time, zero for those who lose, 2 for those who win in overtime or penalties, 1 for those who lose in overtime or penalties.

The statistics of the teams and players in the matches played against Bratislava will remain valid. At the bottom of this press release the updated ranking.

In the week in which the exchange that brought Eichel to Vegas took center stage, we begin our weekly journey between the North American sports halls right from the Pacific Diviosion where Edmonton remains in command by winning all 3 races while the fight for the playoffs promises to be very interesting with teams like Anaheim and Los Angeles that are proving much more competitive than they might have seemed at the beginning of October and that will try to undermine the same Golden Knights who are currently limping through convincing victories like the one against the Senators ( 5-1) to thunderous falls like the 4-0 suffered in Toronto.

In the meantime, the only team to keep up with the Oilers is Calgary, which closes the week with a peremptory 6-0 over Rangers and after a couple of seasons finds its lighthouse in Gaudreau, already scoring 14 points.

Still to the West but further inland, the Central begins to take shape more with Colorado struggling and losing both clashes against Columbus while the Blues get 3 points out of the 4 available and hold the top of the standings.

Chicago and Arizona remain very late which, however, in the night gave a sign of awakening by obtaining the first victory of the season by overcoming the Kraken. It is still difficult to predict which teams will be sucked into the fight to earn the post season but even if Winnipeg fails to find the right pace, in a couple of months the teams involved could be different.

Moving east we cannot start with the night clash between the two most launched teams of the Conference: Florida and Carolina. Both reached this challenge unbeaten in regulation time and it was Florida who won by inflicting the first disappointment of the season on the Hurricanes.

Carolina still remains firmly in the lead of the Metropolitan with 18 points but two games less than the Rangers chasing at 15 but nothing is still clear in a division where the rear, Pittsburgh, has 11 points and despite the various injuries she managed to bring at home the derby against Philadelphia.

Good week for the Blue Jackets who score full points in two races whileWashington remains stuck at the post, scoring only one point in two games.

The Atlantic division instead sees Toronto raise its head and chase Florida thanks to a row of 5 wins (Vegas, Tampa and Boston the victims of the week) while Buffalo jams, putting only one point on the 7 available in the farmhouse and losing tonight against the Detroit revelation that begins the season with a few more points than expected and at the moment remains in the group of contenders for a place in the playoffs unlike Ottawa and especially Montreal that after the masterpiece season that brought her to the Stanley cup final she is facing a real earthquake that culminated in the week with the downgrading of Caufield to the minors, a move that in addition to annoying the player will not have found many Habs fans agree .
