Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that the club has acquired a third-round draft pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft from the Ottawa Senators in exchange for defenceman Travis Hamonic.

“On behalf of the Vancouver Canucks, I would like to thank Travis for his contributions to the organization,” said Allvin. “We wish him and his family the best in their next chapter.”

The third-round draft pick initially belonged to Vancouver and was traded to Vegas in exchange for Nate Schmidt in October 2020 before the Senators then acquired it from Vegas alongside Nick Holden in exchange for Evgenii Dadonov.

The trade now provides Vancouver with a total of eight selections in the 2022 Draft across the following rounds: 1st, 3rd, 3rd (via WPG), 4th (via LAK), 5th, 6th, 7th.
