TASS, 17 August. The clubs of the National Hockey League (NHL) were interested in the defender of the Yekaterinburg “Avtomobilist” Nikita Tryamkin in the current off-season. The hockey player told Sport-Express about this .

“At first, the situation with the NHL was going well, there was a lot of interest in me, and then everything turned the other way. We could still wait for offers, of course, but I think that during this time it was possible to find a common denominator if they really wanted to see me. Therefore, I decided to stay in Russia,” the defender said.

Tryamkin is 28 years old and has been playing for Avtomobilist since 2017. Previously played for the team from 2012 to 2016. In the 2015/16 and 2016/17 seasons, the defender played for Vancouver.

According to the results of the regular season season 2022/23 Fonbet – Kontinental Hockey League (KHL), Avtomobilist took fourth place in the Eastern Conference with 68 points and lost to Metallurg Magnitogorsk in the first round of the playoffs with a score in the series 3-4. 

The new season of the Kontinental Hockey League starts on September 1st.
