Canucks Scuttlebutt | Aidan McDonough Signing

What does VAN have in Aidan McDonough?

• Deadly power-play shooter – 44% of his NCAA goals came on the PP
• Big body who gets to the middle
• Tenacious forechecker
• Lumbering stride – never to be confused with a burner
• Unknown ceiling. Could be depth. Could be 3rd line pic.twitter.com/T9UbVNfLLQ

Since 2005 the Canucks have drafted one forward outside the top 2 rounds who has played over 100 NHL Games.

That player is Adam Gaudette.

Would be a big win if McDonough does the same.

Canucks’ confidence that McDonough would sign never wavered. They see him as a big-game, big-goal player.

I'd like to see him put in position to succeed, so I'd probably start him on LW with Miller. But I wonder if they start him slow and lower in line-up in place of a guy like Kravtsov

Believe McDonough will join the team on the upcoming road trip this week.
