President of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) Luc Tardif, in an interview with TASS before the start of the Olympics announced that the World Junior’s Championship will be held this summer in Alberta.

The news was in reply to the following question to Tardiff by Rustam Sharafutdinov:

You said earlier that the IIHF will decide the issue regarding the holding of the World Youth Championship postponed from the end of December, precisely during the Olympics. When exactly can the IIHF board meet to set a date?

– The World Youth Championship will be held in the summer in the Canadian province of Alberta. We will announce the dates after the Olympics. There will be games.
