Almaty moved up to second spot in the standings, 8 points behind EHV Sabers Vienna and one point ahead of MAC Budapest. Almaty has three games in hand on the Sabers.

The Highlanders have yet to secure a win in regulation or overtime/shootout, and remain in 11th and last spot, 3 points behind KEHV Lakers and DEC Salzburg, who are in 7th and 8th places respectively.
