First, Max and Corey are joined by former Vancouver Canucks college free agent scout, and cohost of The Elev802 Podcast, Jonathan Bates, to discuss the value of college free agent scouting within an organization, how his job differed from the work of the pro and amateur scouts, big wins recruiting the likes of Troy Stecher and Chris Tanev, ones that got away, like Tyler Bozak, Kevan Miller, and Neal Pionk, and much more.

Then, Corey talks about some recent international prospect tournaments and gives his thoughts on the players that stood out, and the guys break down some of the players included in Corey’s annual “NHL prospects I was wrong about” piece, including Alex Turcotte, Shane Pinto, Moritz Seider, and Jonathan Dahlen.

Plus, the guys quickly highlight the play of Columbus Blue Jackets rookie center Cole Sillinger, and discuss the arrival of St. Louis Blues defensive prospect Scott Perunovich.
