Vancouver Canucks (34-34-5), 6th in the Pacific Division) defeated the Chicago Blackhawks (24-43-6), 8th in the Central Division) in a Western Conference contest, by a 4-2 score on Sunday.

Vancouver Extends Win Streaks

It was the Canucks 4rth straight road win improving their road record to 17-16-4. It was also their 3rd consecutive road win, putting them 10-2-0 in their last 12-games.

For Chicago, it was their 19th home loss of the season, increasing their losing streak to 5-games.

With the victory, Vancouver is 27-6-2 when scoring 4+ goals in a game.

On The Road Again… Third and Final

Vancouver finishes the road trip in St. Louis against the Blues, Tuesday, March 28, looking to sweep all three games on their road trip.

Game Highlights

Phillip Di Giuseppe with a goal; Elias Pettersson with 2 goals including the winner; and Brock Boeser extending his goal streak to 2 games with an empty netter, was all the scoring Vancouver needed.

Ethan Bear and Andrei Kuzmenko had two assists. Single assists went to Quinn Hughes, J.T. Miller and Boeser.

Boeser, Pettersson, Bear, and Kuzmenko all had two points each.

Chicago defenseman Connor Murphy opened the scoring, and rookie Lukas Reichel scored his fifth goal of the season to pull Chicago within 3-2 with 1:42 remaining.

Canucks starter Collin Delia stopped 29 shots in picking up his 9th win. Chicago goalie Petr Mrazek made 27 saves in recording his 20th loss.

Recent Canucks NHL Entry Level signee Aiden McDonough stared in his first professional NHL game playing just over 10 minutes (10:03).

Vancouver Canucks (33-34-5), 6th in the Pacific Division) defeated the Dallas Stars (38-20-14), 2nd in the Central Division) 3-1 Saturday, March 25, 2023 at the American Airlines Center.

Vancouver Extends Win Streaks

It was the Canucks third straight road win improving their road record to 16-16-4. It was also their second consecutive win, putting them 9-2-0 in their last 11-games.

For Dallas, it was just their tenth home loss of the season, snapping a 2-game home win streak.

The win was only Vancouver’s seventh win of the season, scoring 3-goals or less, improving to 7-28-4.

On The Road Again

Vancouver continues the road trip against Chicago tomorrow, March 26; and concludes in St. Louis, Tuesday, March 28.

Dakota Joshua with a shorthanded goal; Brock Boeser with the winning goal; and Jack Rathbone, called up fron Abbotsford for the game on an emergency basis, each had a goal.

Single assists went to Nils Aman, J.T. Miller, Filip Hronek, Andrei Kuzmenko, and Elias Pettersson.

Ryan Suter scored for the Stars; and San Jose goalie Matt Murray made 21 saves for Dallas, who are now 18-10-9 at home this season. They have also now lost 4 of their last 6-games.

Canucks starting goalie Thatcher Demko made 25 saves for the Canucks for a .962 SV% (Save Percentage), and is 8-3-0 in Vancouver’s last 13 games, since returning from injury on February 27, 2023.
