Welcome to our first Power Rankings of the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championship.

It will begin on December 26, 2023, and will end with the gold medal game being played on January 5, 2024.

This marks the seventh time that Sweden will host the WJIHC and the first time in Gothenburg. Canada will be entering the tournament as two-time defending champions.

Blessed with what might be the tournament’s most potent attack, the U.S. opens in first place. Defending champion Canada, featuring great depth among its skaters, is second, and the talented Swedes sit third as they aspire to win an unforgettable gold medal on home ice.
