  1. Game Points & Quarter Finals Standings:
    • Regulation Time is 3 x 20 minutes. Each game must produce a winner.
    • The team  which  wins  a  game  after  regulation  time  will  receive  three points  in  the  league  standings,  while  the  losing  team  will  receive  no points.
    • If the game is undecided at the end of regulation time, each team will be awarded a  point  in  the  league  standings;  after  a three minute  break without  ice  resurfacing,  the  teams  will  then  play a  sudden  victory overtime.  Should  the  sudden  victory  overtime  still  fail  to  produce  a winner, the game will be decided by a penalty shootout in accordance with IIHF rules (start with 5 different shooters per team [resp. unless the winner is already clear]). The winner (after sudden victory overtime or the penalty shootout) will be awarded another point in the league standings.
    • Ranking in the standings will be decided as follows:
      • Firstly: Number of points. If points are the same, the following calculations ensue: If teams are equal on points the following tie-breakers are applied:
      • If two or more teams are on same level on points, the direct duel results count. Should three  or  more  teams  be on the same  level  on  points,  those teams’ scores are being recalculated in a sub-group if all teams in this sub-group played the same number of games, considering only those matches between the members of said sub-group. Ranking differential:
        1. Higher amount of points in the direct duel(s)
        2. Better Goal Difference in the direct duel(s)
        3. Higher number   of   scored   goals   in   the   direct   duels

RED HOT HORVAT

Opening the scoring on Mar. 24 at MIN, Bo Horvat pieced together a three-game goal streak (3-0-3) for the third time in his career and reached the 25-goal plateau. Since Feb. 21, Horvat ranks t-5th in the NHL for goals (11).

MAGNIFICENT MILLER

  • Having already set a career-high in points so far (78), J.T. Miller equaled his career-high in goals (27) with a power play marker on Mar. 24 at MIN.
  • On Mar. 23 at COL, Miller posted his 22nd multi-point game of the season, trailing only six players for the most in the NHL this season at that point: McDavid (34), Matthews (27), Draisaitl (25), Kadri (23), Connor (23) and Rantanen (23).

HOW DO YOU LIKE THEM APPLES?

J.T. Miller (25-50-75 in 62 GP) recorded 50 assists in a season for the first time in his career. Only three players in franchise history have reached the mark in fewer contests: Henrik Sedin (49 GP in 2010-11, 50 GP in 2009-10, 58 GP in 2011-12 &60 GP in 2007-08), Daniel Sedin (52 GP in 2009-10) and André Boudrias (59 GP in 1974-75).

STREAK-KING

With three assists on Mar. 15 vs NJD, J.T. Miller extended the NHL’s longest active point streak to 13 games (8-19-27) becoming the seventh player in Canucks history to record a point streak of 13 or more games and first since Ryan Kesler in 2009-10 (6-9-15 in 13 GP). Miller also tied Stan Smyl, Pavel Bure, and Ryan Kesler for the third-longest point streak (13 games) in club history.
Previously during this streak, Miller became the second player in 2021-22 to record multiple point streaks of at least nine games, joining Auston Matthews (10 GP &9 GP), and the only player in the NHL to record three separate point streaks of 8+ games this season.
