
The Toronto Maple Leafs (30-12-3) went to Vancouver (22-21-6) to play the Canucks on Saturday night, looking for their 14th road win and Vancouver their 10 home victory of the season.

The Canucks received an outstanding game from starting goaltender Thatcher Demko who stopped 51 shots in a 3-2 win. Toronto outshot Vancouver 53-24 and both Maple Leaf goals were scored on the power play.
Demko stopped all 41 shots he faced at even strength finishing with a .962 save percentage (SV%).
J.T. Miller and Brock Boeser led Vancouver with a goal and an assist each, with the winning goal coming from Juho Lammikko at 18:30 of the second period. No scoring in the final period of the game.
The Canucks scored two quick goals on the Maple Leafs, the first by J.T. Miller at even strength at 1:29 of the first period.
Then Boeser on the power play at the six minute mark, with the Canucks entering the middle frame with a 2-0 lead.

Toronto would finally get on the scoresheet with less than seven minutes left in the second period on a goal by Austin Matthews. Less than two minutes later the game was even at 2-2 on a goal by Ondrej Kase.
With 90 seconds left in the second period Lammikko would give the Canucks the lead again at 3-2, which Vancouver would not relinquish in the final period.
