Israel Elite Hockey League Announces Israeli Ice Hockey Star To Play in IEHL in 2022

Israeli star Eliezer “Mr. Danger” Sherbatov will play in the IEHL 2022 summer season. Sherbatov, 30, has signed with the Jerusalem Capitals.

Sherbatov played major junior in the QMJHL, and has played professional hockey in the KHL, as well as in the top leagues of France, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, Latvia and Poland, and currently skates for HC Mariupol in the Ukrainian league.

IEHL co-commissioner Marc Brunengraber said “We are thrilled to bring Eliezer to the IEHL and the Jerusalem Capitals for the summer 2022 season. Eliezer is an experienced professional player who will provide a lot of excitement for the fans and the league this summer!”

He has also captained the Israeli national team in IIHF competition, most recently helping the Blue and White to win the gold medal in the 2019 IIHF D2B championships and promoting the team into Division 2A.
