NHL Public Relations October 17, 2021

* Michael Raffl (Villach, Austria) scored his first goal for the Stars after signing with the team this past offseason. He is the first Austrian-born player to skate for Dallas.

Joe Pavelski scored a goal to extend his point streak against the Senators to nine games (6-4—10) dating to Dec. 7, 2016. It is tied for the second-longest active point streak against Ottawa with Patrick Kane (5-16—21 in 9 GP), trailing Brent Burns (6-14—20 in 13 GP).

Connor Brown registered his third assist of the game to reach 100 in his career. This is the third three-assist game of his career and first with Ottawa (also Dec. 18, 2018 w/ TOR and March 29, 2016 w/ TOR).

Chris Tierney scored two power-play goals in a game for the first time in his career. It was the first time he tallied on the power play since Oct. 19, 2019 vs. Arizona.

Filip Gustavsson improved to 6-1-2 in his career, becoming the fifth goaltender in franchise history to win at least six of his first 10 career NHL appearances.
^A previous version of this note inaccurately stated Gustavsson was the youngest to do so.

* The Senators have won each of their first two home games of a season for the first time since 2016-17 when they started 3-0-0 as hosts. The victory also marked Ottawa’s fifth consecutive home win against Dallas dating to Feb. 9, 2017 (DAL: 0-3-2).

* Ottawa extended its home win streak to seven games dating to April 26, 2021, the longest active such run in the NHL (ahead of TOR and FLA at 6-0-0).
