Brock Boeser could be out the rest of the preseason for the Vancouver Canucks with an undisclosed injury.
Boeser, who led the Canucks in goals (23) and points (49) in 56 games last season, missed practice Thursday but there was no update available at the time. Coach Travis Green announced the forward’s expected absence after a 4-1 preseason loss at the Calgary Flames on Friday.
“He going to be out for a little bit, probably I would say at least a week,” Green said.
The Canucks have four preseason games remaining, their last against the Edmonton Oilers on Oct. 9. They open the 2021-22 regular season at the Oilers on Oct. 13. — Kevin Woodley
