Canucks recall Alexandre Grenier From AHL Utica Comets

Vancouver, B.C. – Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has recalled forward Alexandre Grenier from the AHL Utica Comets.

Grenier, 25, has appeared in 16 games for Utica this season where he currently leads the team in points (14), ranks second in goals (6) and is tied for second in assists (8).

In 2015.16, Grenier appeared in six games for Vancouver in his first NHL season. He also appeared in 69 games with the Comets, leading the team in both points (48) and assists (32) and finishing tied for the third in goals (16).

The 6-5, 213-pound forward then added a team-high two goals and three points in four Calder Cup Playoff games.

A native of Laval, Quebec, Grenier was originally selected by Vancouver in the third round, 90th overall, at the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
